Harrison. (Frank Seymour), Manager of South British

Insurance Company.

Heard whistles.

Went on verandah.

First thing

saw Chinaman in dark clothes running on West side of queen's Statue towards Hongkong & Shanghai Bank follow- ed by elderly European about 40 yards distant.

Saw firemen with red on uniform running behind the European.

The running Chinuman ran along footpath on west side Wardley between railings and pillars.

Then ran acrose Des Voeux Road between Bank and

City Hall.

Immediately after he passed corner of garden in front of Bank saw a number of coolies rush to the fence at the same corner and peer into the garden.

I went down to street and saw Chinaman brought back in custody. (Uncertain as to date).
